Traveling? Do something new-to-you!

REMINDER! If you haven't upgraded to a paid subscription yet, then you are about to miss the second part of my summer series! Don't let that happen… Upgrade now, and prepare to be thoroughly surprised!

My Summer Series calms down the “Hot Topic” of vaccine medicine the way a glacier would cool down a volcano! Join me for a journey of gentle discovery and self-awareness building.

We tend to assume that traveling is in and of itself inherently a new thing to do, but a lot of times we fall into our old, familiar habits. In this way, “wherever we go, there we are” can become limiting, which is the opposite of what most of us want from travel!

For example, I often travel alone. There is a certain rhythm to solo travel, and so, my trip to Boracay is turning out to be automatically new and different! Why? Because I'm traveling with two awesome women!

Yesterday, we did something together that I would never have done on my own! I talk about that in the video, and below are some of the photos that I would never have taken if I’d been in Boracay by myself.

I'm not going to drown you in photos, but yesterday we went on a three hour tour (🎶🎵🎼A 3-Hour Tour a la Gilligan’s Island 😂🎼🎵🎶) and that meant selfies and tourist spot photos galore!

MY #1 HABIT? Zero photos of self.

That might surprise you, given that I've begun to create video content for “Our Thoughts Matter,” but it’s true!

MY #2 HABIT? I almost always travel for work.

But this trip to Boracay? It’s to see my friend and have fun! Zero agenda, no expectations, and I’m just rolling with whatever happens (including posing for touristy photos and selfies!).

Why am I in Boracay, to begin with?

It's because 18 months ago, long before I realized I was going to be getting a divorce (!) — I promised my housemate and good friend that when she got her green card and could go home to the Philippines, I would come with her to see her homeland.

That decision, once made, led to a series of other smaller decisions that ultimately resulted in me sitting on top of our Air BnB watching the sun rise on a balmy morning with birdsong in all directions!

More often than we think, our life is created by the sincere intentions and clear decisions that we make along the way. Even when we don't know how we're going to get to our goal, simply deciding that we will do this or that — naturally opens the door to all of those smaller choices and decisions that bring our dreams into focus.

It's OK to be scared of failure. It's OK to fail. It's OK to have a dream that does not come to fruition. Why?

Because, once you know that those things are OK, it’s a lot easier to have enough hope and faith to set your intentions which — more often than not — result in achieving goals thus set…!

So, why not? After all. The worst that can happen is what? You die unexpectedly or you don’t achieve your goal. Wasn’t life better, for trying?

If you have a habit of restraining yourself and not allowing yourself to dream big because you don't think it's realistic, that's a great habit to break — starting today.

I'm just a woman making the most of her life and enjoying the few decades I have left on this wonderful planet. Join me, for a time, and let's see where the journey takes us!

Be a coconut adrift in the ocean, yearning for a sandy beach, and one day, this just might be you…
