Did your paper cover the despicable smearing and rigging that cost Joe Kent’s election? And the ongoing disgraceful, specious character assassination labeling him a “ Right Wing extremist conspiracy theorist with ties to White Nationalism and Neo-Nazis”?
Which couldn’t be further from the truth? The American Green Beret who for decades served our country selflessly with honor overseas in active combat , fighting the most savage Islamist terrorists? Was one of very few who was in the CIA that wasn’t corrupt and worked to protect America? This now widowed father of two whose wife was the first woman to serve in active combat, killed by ISIS? This “ Neo-Nazi White Supremacist” who’s only district mail in ballot box was bombed and spray painted with” Free Palestine” pro-Hamas filth and the approximately 3000 ballots “ destroyed beyond legibility “, but somehow, the spray paint was very legible, went uninvestigated? The ballots were a shoe-in for Kent, mailed in by veterans and when Kent requested a two day extension after calls poured in from voters for replacement ballots, was denied ? Yet the ballot count results were extended for weeks while his lead “ mysteriously” waned?

I’m crazy about her, but she too is an “ extremist, racist, conspiracy theorist, far-right Hindu Nationalist Putin, Assad , Modi.Trump Puppet, supporter of traitors , cultist and a “ Threat To Democracy”. . Regardless of her 20 year military service, her unassailable decency, conviction and refusal to be owned.

The next I saw him was on Gregg Kelly’s show. Though I like Kelly, I don’t support his way to restrictive, obsessive position on abortion, which is a complete ban.Its cruel and based upon hyper-religiosity. I’m pro-life by choice with sane parameters, but have no to force another woman or young girl to. bear a child. I’m fortunate. I have a loving, devoted husband,we’re financially secure and have a supportive family and friend network. Others are less fortunate and whatever the reason, having two unplanned pregnancies, despite every precaution and irregular menstrual cycles not even knowing I was pregnant, I didn’t terminate had two terrible pregnancies, the first nearly killed me and the delivery was a horror show, but the baby was perfect and wonderful. It was nearly a year before I healed from a surgical resection. I’m tiny, she was enormous, even at a month early. My second pregnancy was worse. I was so sick and dehydrated That my eyeballs were sinking. By the time I gave birth, I weighed I01 pounds the baby was 9lbs 8 oz , again a month early and after 22 hours of labor , a c-section where it was discover she was lodged, wouldn’t have descended and we’d both have on the table within an hour, She’s now thirty two, bizarrely beautiful, an IQ of 162, a radiation oncologist and a mommy. And so kind. That said. I can’t imagine forcing another to face that. It would be so traumatic, particularly for a young girl, rape victim single mother struggling to put food on the table, a victim of spousal abuse , an abandoned woman drug addict or a woman who so doesn’t want the baby that she’ll damage it in the womb, take out her resentment on the child or harm herself.
Joe Kent isn’t a zealot, the GOP made abortion the number issue of the campaign, forced the candidates to on it and lost. They tried to blame it on everything else. This around, Kent dropped it and ran on a more libertarian government out of your body, wallet, bedroom platform, but America first. I think raising two small children alone was a wake-up call.
I just liked him. He was young, fresh, atypical and a good listener. Like Tulsi, and yes, I was being sarcastic. She’s lovely. The Democrats are vile and without conscious. Mitch is a shit. He’s got plenty to hide. And he’s unbearable to look at and listen to. A creepy crawly.

Thank you for your comment! I was not aware of Joe Kent's candidacy or race -- though now I'm curious. The Vashon Loop comes out once a month, in digital and paper form (with roughly 3,000 papers distributed per month), and there are usually about 25 voices in the paper (often new and changing voices). It's not primarily focused on political races, and if Joe Kent wasn't running for a position islanders could vote for, then he'd not have ended up in our paper. That said, yeah...frustrating, isn't it? BTW, I'm guessing you're being sarcastic at the end, as you list the "smear campaign" rhetoric against Tulsi, compared to the truth which you list at the end?
