I can’t tell. Snopes (which sucks) says no but their reasoning is that they can’t prove he did, the words have been said by others and a lot of people like the quote, LOL. That is apparently (in their own words) a red flag. This link takes you to a list of 30 famous quotes by Morgan Freeman, and they all sound like him…and the quote we’re curious about is listed along with the image I have on my fridge. Basically, the words are awesome, the meaning is powerful, and Morgan Freeman is the type of person to say such a thing…but, unless we ask him directly, I’m not sure there’s an answer. It’s not like he (or I) would suggest he has a claim on the ideas expressed and actors quote other people all the time (memorizing lines is their job)….so, good question!
When I share my thoughts on medical issues with my children (who trust me deeply), I NEVER tell them what to do. I share what I’ve read, links to studies, or offer books and videos where people discuss the issues surrounding a complex medical topic…because I DO NOT have the answer for them. I have the best answer for me. They must decide for themselves.
What Morgan was asked to do is encourage people to delegate. Delegating is fine, and we all do it from time to time. I delegate in plumbing or roofing issues, for example. I delegate to an electrician, knowing if they get it wrong, my house could burn down!
But, I’m from a medical family, and I prefer to NOT delegate to others on medical issues. I talk to many people, read many studies, on vaccine medicine I’ve tracked the wholeness of the issue for 25 years, and so…I both do not delegate AND I do not allow others to delegate to me.
But, if Morgan wants to encourage people to trust him, which means trusting who HE has decided to trust (2 levels of delegation), then so be it. It’s a choice he and others have the right to make.
My step-Dad is a doctor and my Mom is many things — I grew up in hospitals, ICU units, our own family practice (which my Mom ran), nurse’s summer vacays and I dare say far too many disturbing images in my young mind from all the medical journals scattered throughout the house. Who was sick, dying, recovering and why was the common dinner time and weekend BBQ conversation topic…plus I’m personally fascinated and my Dad was on the internet doing university research before it was called the internet. So, where many people refer to “scientific studies,” I’ve grown up and continue to read the actual, lengthy work of scientists around the world. Medical school (as all doctors will agree) is a broad training platform for “how to think about & provide certain modalities pertaining to human health,” and in the USA this is heavily skewed toward pharmaceutical products and an allopathic perspective on the body & healing. The corporate bias is strong and the licensing/credentials are, as well. Freedom is limited for those focused on economic survival, much less success, and we see terrible constraints on people who just want to help other people be more healthy and well. It’s like teachers who are constantly limited by school administrators and endless rules & busy-work, when they just want to help children learn.
For me, it would be helpful if you summarized your points at the top so I could more easily get the main points of the essay.
You are so right about how things are going. I pray a global epiphany is coming. Of course, it would arrive here last, the home of the globe spanning empire of violence, brutality, and cruelty.
What would it look like? It would be the sudden realization of what a beautiful planet we have, what amazing life lives here, what amazing people we are if not constantly manipulated. It would mean we get down to the real work of turning our planet toward a sustainable, stable, nurturing future. Now that is something worth working towards IMO.
I'm pretty sure Morgan Freeman never said that. Do you have a source for that quote?

I did not know you were from a medical family. It says you are a radio host. Is your spouse a doctor?
Hi! Yes, I host/produce Prose, Poetry & Purpose. Www.marchtwisdale.com

What do you do?

Keep up the good work.
Hi Max! Gotcha…will try to do better subtitles or intros! Yes, if we got out of our way…we’d achieve so much more, right?
