Wow, March! Way to go! Though I suspect that this piece will not go over well on Vashon, where heads-in-the-sand Dems are firmly in the majority.

I have felt for some time that the current Dem administration and all the incredible BS that they pulled during Covid was a test run to see just how much they could get away with, before the American people would say "Enough!" And the answer was quite depressing, as the majority either meekly and openly bowed down to the violations of the Constitution, or were too scared to say anything that might draw the wrath of the Censors and lead to being "cancelled" by the Left.

The recent open attacks on the First Amendment by both Hillary Clinton and John Kerry have shown exactly what we can expect if Kamala is somehow elected President next month. Free Speech is, as Kerry said, making it difficult for them to govern as they'd like. Too many people are able to talk to each other about topics that should be off-limits for mere plebes! Given another four years in power, the First Amendment will be "modified" by the Left to add exceptions for misinformation, disinformation, malinformation and anything else that the Powers That Be choose to censor. And of course the same PTB will decide what meets the definitions of what can, and cannot, be expressed.

Once we lose Free Speech, everything else will follow; just like in 1984, if the State can control what you can see, hear and say, they can eventually control what you think. We are far too close to experiencing that for real, not just in a novel, because too many people are so deeply in the throes of Trump Derangement Syndrome that they would rather vote for someone who is incapable of even speaking in a rational manner without the aid of a teleprompter, and whose radical far-Left views are clearly on the record. A vote for Kamala is a vote for the end of America as we know it. That might sound like hyperbole, but it is nothing less than complete truth.

I agree. It's a scary time, because while we've seen worse and humans have overcome worse, to do so is incredibly painful and awful. And, who wants to live through such an ordeal? Let's stop this before it gets any worse!

Hell yes I did share! Just not by using your "share" feature. I pass most of your posts on to a group of friends, some of whom now also read you regularly (though I do not know if they follow you). I also sent it to a few friends who I will charitably call "confused", in the hope this might help clarify their thinking.
