Another excellent piece, that unfortunately will likely fly like a lead ballooon with your neighbors on Vashon. Many of my good friends are either declared Dems, or declared Independents who are actually just Dems who don't have the spine to admit it. Most of them are currently still metaphorically curled up in a ball, trying to understand what happened and convinced that the world is ending. Unfortunately this even applies to some very close family members, who still feel obligated to curse me daily for voting for a candidate who actually believes in the vision of the Founders instead of a DEI caricature who has publically expressed her desire to ignore the Constitution when it "gets in the way of getting things done", and who for the past four years has aided Biden in his attempts to destroy our country.

Now the fun begins! As Trump names his Cabinet and others who will help push through his aganda we get to watch as Liberals react with anger, fear or both. And some of them have good reason to fear, since they broke numerous laws that were carefully ignored by the corrupt Justice Department led by Garland. Unlike in past times when the Republicans held power, this time they need to use the law to bring to justice those who broke so many laws with impunity for the last four years.

Regrettably, today Biden did something that I was dreading, putting the country into a situation that could quickly lead to war with Russia by allowing Ukraine to use US misslies targeted by US satelites to strike sites deep inside Russia. Where will Ukraine strike? And will Putin follow through on his written warning that should Ukraine carry out these attacks that it will constitute a declaration of war by the US with Russia?

Is this a Plan B by the Democrats to keep Trump from taking office? Defeated overwhelmingly at the polls, perhaps by starting a war they can declare a state of emergency or martial law and cancel the innauguration? Are they really crazy and desperate enough to risk nuclear war? It sure looks like it. They tried to throw Trump in prison with lawfare and failed. They tried to assassinate him and failed. They will not be able to impeach him again without control of the House. Is this all they have left to stop him?

The people who would risk war in this manner are the same people who the citizens of our country just told emphatically to get the hell out of our government, go home and think about how badly you have effed things up before the next election. Is this their way of saying Goodbye and F*ck You to us?

I'm sorry I got so dark with this comment. I have very high hopes for what Trump and the government he is assembling will do for our country. I just hope that he has a chance to carry out his plans.

I tried to respond to your reply to me earlier today, but there is a glitch and I was not able to reply. So I'm trying here

Putin's recent demonstration of the capabilities of his hypersonic missile have shown the world that he can hit literally any target he wants, and there is no way to stop him. A rational person would realize that continuing to provoke someone who has this weapon is insane. But I am convinced that if Trump takes office and is able to really look into what has been going on in Ukraine for at least the past decade, it is going to result in some very powerful people being exposed as criminals and possibly going to prison, or being executed. If this is the case, these people have very little to lose. THAT is what worries me.

If the US and/or NATO continue along their current course, someone might well send missiles into Moscow, or even use a nuke. Putin can drop a non-nuclear (or a nuke for that matter) missile anywhere he wants, including London, Paris or DC, and there is no way to stop it. How much provocation can he withstand before war hawks in his own government force him to act or atempt to remove him from power? If we can make it until Biden is gone I think we're OK, but the next 6 weeks are going to be very tense, to put it mildly.
