Social Media Blackout in Ottawa?

When a government under challenge, shuts down lines of communication & turns off street cams, we are right to worry.

UPDATE: Please keep in mind that this was written in late January, and everything has changed and is changing!

Around 11am PST, I began to feel anxious.

Over the past week, on the way to Ottawa, tens of thousands of people have successfully produced live video of the convoy. As of this morning, I found only this video - a few hours old. It looks like they had a good morning, but where were the Live Feeds?

So, I called my friends in Ottawa, and they gave me a big scoop of information ice cream!

According to them:

(1) Facebook Lives appears shut down?

(2) The sound system was confiscated?

(3) Government “street cameras” have been turned off?

If true, why would any of this happen?

"The mere act of doing journalism — especially accountability journalism, journalism that threatens people in power — is inherently dangerous,” said Joel Simon, executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). 

He went on to say, “Repressive governments, autocratic governments all over the world understand that…in the information age, those who control the narrative control power.”

Most people living in Canada, Australia, the EU, the UK and the United States of America sincerely believe their governments do not pose a threat to themselves, the people of those nations. Is this true?

In my opinion? Maybe, but probably not.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) is also clear that WE the people are NOT fully safe from our own government systems.

“More and more, people are living under governments that are partly free and are living in an environment in which press freedom has deteriorated, in which their ability to access information and independent media and hold governments accountable is more limited.”

Which brings us back to Ottawa.

The Canadian Prime Minister is under extreme pressure - but NOT from Canadians, whom he clearly disregards. No. Justin Trudeau faces tremendous international pressure to SUPPRESS his countrymen, women and children. What will he not do, to avoid being the first domino that topples all the rest?

At this shiny and bright moment in time, Canadians are the linchpin in a global system of soft totalitarianism. Understand that Trudeau’s masters are NOT the Canadian People, the Canadian Health System or even his own Cabinet. He looks abroad, to other forces and powers that we are not privy to.

And they cannot be happy.

But wait! What is soft totalitarianism? It is the breaking of the human mind, body and spirit. The re-education of society, warping our conceptions to make us compliant and cooperative with our oppressors. This stage of the game takes several years, and this means, (!!) we have a chance to turn this freight train around!

The worst horrors of WWII, in the Pacific and Europe, did not spring up out of nowhere. The travesty of Stalin’s Russia and the USSR, was preventable for a brief time. These populations did not turn rabid overnight. It snuck up on them.

During their period of soft totalitarianism, their society was groomed to accept, cheer for, and eventually help build the massive walls covered with barbed wire and the guards towers manned by soldiers prepared to shoot and kill their fellow citizens.

Soft totalitarianism is alive and well today, and exploding across the globe, fed by willing participants eager to sell themselves and their society down “the river” for a vague & unfulfilled promise of safety.

Every business owner who complies with public health mandates, is complicit. Every citizen, who works for public health, set up the Snitch Line or otherwise enforces these mandates, is complicit. Every customer who spies on their neighbor and reports them for not enforcing the mandate, is complicit.

And so it goes.

Our freedom, hard fought for and won by those who had less of it than we do today, floats on a barge down the Mississippi River, headed for the slave fields upon which millions have suffered and died.

Are the complicit, bad people? No. They are victims, and they need our help.

It is our job to help them to the best of our ability…and a hard job it is!!! Most pro-mandate beliefs are based on outdated or disproven data, but few are willing to listen to anything that challenges their views. Indeed, a strict and hard line refusal to consider information contrary to that which they already believe IS one of the first behaviors groomed into people under soft totalitarianism. The human instinct to believe that a majority opinion must be correct, is being used against us.

And so, we must get creative!

Can we shift views, if we speak a different language and are looking in an opposite direction? An atheist cannot convince a Catholic to turn away from The Church, and a born-again Christian will rarely convince an agnostic to be baptized. But, a person who values freedom for all and the expression of love for his or her neighbors may find agreement from the Catholic, born-again Christian, agnostic and atheist!

Which is exactly what we are seeing across the planet, brilliantly expressed at the defeat the mandate DC rally last weekend, and today in speeches made in Ottawa, Canada. The Jews and the Muslims and the Christians and the secularists and those with personal relationships with God, have joined together with the vaccinated and the unvaccinated, the injured and the uninjured, the Republicans and the Democrats, Liberals and Conservatives, those who voted for Trudeau and those who voted against Trudeau, the French speaking and English speaking Canadians, the rich and the poor, the elite and the blue-collar workers, the elderly and the young, the European-immigrants and the Native People, the black, the white, the Asian, the brown, the Punjabi and the Hutterites, and so on…are OUR Coalition of Humanity.

Together, we are crying out, standing firm, loud and proud, singing and preaching, feeding and donating, honking and keeping the roads safe (thank you MCP), all united on one quest.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE.

So, let us pay attention! Let us find the live feeds. Let us protect our fellow FREE people by watching and witnessing. And doing more.

Not in Ottawa? Do this!

(1) Beware the endless echo chamber. People who already know what’s happening, are not our target audience!

(2) Get the word out! Most people have no clue. It’s our job to change this!

(3) The trucking convoy is laying siege to the capital of their own democratic society. This is legitimate and beautiful! And it takes money. Every new person you reach is potentially a new person donating to the cause.

(4) Give the gift of awareness. A person doesn’t know what a person doesn’t know. With enthusiasm and joy, ask your friends and family and coworkers, have they heard about the convoy in Canada? Enjoy sharing the good news.
