Olympia, Meet the People's Convoy!
The People's Convoy is headed your way, with good reason and good souls on board! Yes, we have problems, and it starts at the top (Gavin & Jay, I'm looking at you).

Dear Freedom Friends,
Forget what you think you know about truckers…
When I think back on my month long journey across the country (twice) and my time in Hagerstown, two surprises stand out.
(1) First, a significant number of truckers expected me to have negative impressions of them. That idea completely startled me, and then the frequency with which I was reassured that “not all truckers are bad” kept catching me off guard. To the contrary, I felt myself to be surrounded by ethical, hard-working, responsible, professional, capable men (and women) with a strong identity as providers. All of them had stories to tell about their spouses and children, their coworkers and customers, their country, the Republic for which we all stand, and others within society who they provide care for, such as the elderly and everyday Americans who need the goods they transport.
Of the dozens of truckers I talked with, “Salt of the Earth” comes to mind, and my time with the People’s Convoy was a reaffirmation of who I am myself. Pretense has always rubbed me the wrong way, as has classism, intentional or unrecognized. Surrounded by men and women who presented themselves as who they are, what they do, how they serve their nation and their loved ones…I felt completely at ease.
I believe this beautiful image, found on the FB Page of a Marine who provided security for the People’s Convoy, says it all. His sentiment is shared by many.
(2) Secondly, the People’s Convoy demonstrated the *source* of community. A fascinating thing happens when people step out of the normative boundaries of society (which is what happens when you participate in a protest movement). Our cultural habits, rules, mores and self-imposed limitations on human interactions…loosen. Open up. Soften. Relax. Shift. The same happens during disasters and in times of war. Humans revert to their basic nature and (imo) that is NOT greed and selfishness. It’s community building. It’s cooperation. It’s seeing a need and filling it.
About a week into my stay in Hagerstown, it hit me. We had created a fully functional community, and we’d done it spontaneously. Organically. Naturally. Why? Because the needs of a community are obvious and we, the people, are perfectly capable of seeing what needs to be done…and doing it! Everything got covered, and entirely through donations, volunteerism and community awareness. Food. Security. Shelter. Showers. Water. Health Care. Lighting. Heat. Hygiene. Fuel. Transportation. A Lawful Location. Mechanics On Call. Communication. Religious Services. Emotional Support. Media Coverage. And, regularly scheduled, daily announcements of the day’s events!
Without forming a single committee, holding elections, officially anointing this or that person with special authority or power, and with absolutely no need for coercion or force: we built a village that even had a Barber!
In Which Case, What Do We Need a Government For?
Today, many humans on Earth believe that “the people” will collapse into chaos if they are not “take care of” by a system of controls known as society. To a degree, I carried this belief with me, as I headed out from the glorious Mojave Desert of Southern California. But, when I left Hagerstown, I believed differently.
We are all groomed to feel dependent upon a government that we believe is designed to manage our basic day to day survival. The roads we drive on, the buses we ride in, the safety of everything from air travel to the pills we pop when we have a headache, even the value of our money is “protected and managed” by a small group of people who are doing more than looking out for us, right? They are ensuring that we avoid a catastrophic collapses into utter chaos! To save ourselves from the ghost in the closet…the siren amongst the islands…the banshee in the mountains…or the spectre of death rising from the ashes of a shattered society…what do we do?
We comply. We concede. We cave. We conclude this is the best & only way.
But…how is our way any different from feudalism in Europe? Did the peasants and serfs benefit from the proclaimed God-Given rights of Landowners and Lords who ruled over them? Are we truly all that better off ourselves, compared to how things could be? When did we decide that humans had lost the ability to create a strong, healthy, sustainable and capable community — from the ground up?
If you’re about to say, “well, back then a lot of people suffered and starved, and now things are much better,” please take a look at the homelessness disaster in Los Angeles (or Seattle). Can the elites, the political class, and those who quietly wield power from the shadows truly claim success? And, honestly! What’s with the showmanship, posturing and costumes of power-figures? Have we grown so accustomed to the pageantry that we no longer notice it? (See photo below)
I felt greater trust while listening to my fellow “Salt of the Earth” Americans in Hagerstown, with their jeans and t-shirts, stubble and imperfect hair, gravelly voices and directness, as we discussed openly and honestly with one another the challenges of the day, the drive, the weather, our resources and our concerns/hopes for tomorrow and the country…than I feel when I see this photo.
Know what I see? Mobsters. Am I wrong?
Gavin Newsom - A Rapidly Rising Rocket (but what’s the fuel?)
Biden was never meant to be more than a single term president. According to Politico, “…four people who regularly talk to Biden, all of whom asked for anonymity to discuss internal campaign matters, [say] it is virtually inconceivable that he will run for reelection in 2024, when he would be the first octogenarian president. “If Biden is elected,” a prominent adviser to the campaign said, “he’s going to be 82 years old in four years and he won’t be running for reelection.”
This means the Democratic Party is already hard at work paving the way for his successor, and despite all public protestations to the contrary, it appears increasingly likely that those who pull the puppet strings of the biggest, fattest and least ethical Donkey on Earth have Gavin Newsom in mind for the White House.
Or…maybe our First Woman President? The spectre of Kamala Harris has long loomed (in my mind) as one half of an entirely undesirable ticket, and knowing she was 2nd in command (should Biden be deemed incapable of performing his job) is an even worse thought! Yet, of course…the “feminism in name only” cabal that insisted Hillary Clinton’s body was an adequate reason for handing over my vote & confidence (no, that’s not sexist, not at all) wants nothing more than to see an XX Chromosome in the Oval Office. So, we may see Kamala Harris on the ballot. In which case - given that she’s awful - I predict another Hillary-esque loss, and as an American Woman, that’s embarrassing on so many levels.
When we elect our first woman president, I’d like it to be a woman I can respect, admire and feel well-represented by, and right now…that’s Tulsi Gabbard. If President Biden had heeded her advice (or if she were already in the White House), would we be hammering a nail into our nation’s proverbial head with extreme gas prices, ripple effect inflation and the horrors of a Ukrainian/Nato/USA vs Russia land war? No. She would be leading the country with her calm and rational approach to complex global issues and her deep, personal understanding of what it means to be caught up in one of America’s many wars. Ah, if only we could be so lucky.
Okay, okay…back to Gavin Newsom and his meteoric climb up the political ladder of the Golden State. Right off the bat, he’s young enough to be a good bet if your goal is to control the White House for a full eight years. With global control over corporate media and expanding powers of censorship being employed left, right and center…eight years is probably just enough time to turn Davos into the Capitol of the World, a la the Great Reset. (No, I’m not joking.)
Because, see…here’s the thing about rockets. They don’t suddenly levitate their way off the planet. People with deep pockets and an agenda pay to get them off the ground, and they always want something in return.
Newsom is one such rocket. Since 1996, he has been on a smooth launch trajectory into the political stratosphere with the overt support of a small cadre of families who have traded power over California’s political ecosystem for generations. I think Washington DC (not the Moon or Mars) is their goal; just like the owner of a 3-year old Thoroughbred fantasizes about winning the Belmont, the Preakness and the Kentucky Derby (not having a pretty lawn ornament).
Only, Governor Newsom isn’t a horse, and running fast isn’t his job. Begging the question, “has California thrived and improved during Newsom’s tenure?” And, excuse me, but how did a Wine Maker become Governor?
Answers: Not really, and no. He didn’t “become” Governor. He was made Governor by his benefactors.
Gavin’s rise displays all the hallmarks of organized politics (think: organized crime), comprised of appointments to the Parking and Traffic Commission (1996) and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors (1997), followed by three easy incumbant elections (1998, 2000, 2002), a slide into Willie Brown’s shoes as Mayor of S.F. (2004 & 2008), then a smooth stint as Jerry Brown’s Lieutenant Governor (2010 & 2014) who further greased the rails for his political protégé to replace him as Governor in 2018.
(BTW - Did you know there were two Governors named Jerry Brown? Yup…like father, like son! One more example of America’s New Money Nobility and Political Family Legacies. Who are the Four Families of California? Watch this Video. Who are the Eight San Francisco Families? Read this article.)
IF Gavin Newsom’s handlers DO decide to run him in the Presidential Primary (sorry for the horse racing analogy, but it works, doesn’t it?), the state of California will be indicative of what we can expect for the country should Newsom land in the White House. And California is a mess.
I grew up in California and I would never, ever live there again. California has the highest rate of departure for both businesses and individuals, in the country. California has complied beautifully with the Pharma-Dem platform, eliminating religious exemptions (surely this is unconstitutional?) and legislatively limiting a doctor’s right to provide medical exemptions (as if a doctor can control the unique allergies or health conditions of their thousands of incoming patients?). California is betting on an electricity-based future (forceably demanding that Californians buy electric cars beginning 2035) without a solid plan for producing vast quantities of electricity, and in a state that already experiences rolling blackouts - this makes sense HOW?
As a Washingtonian, I empathize with Californians. We are also dealing with a massively well-orchestrated grab for (democracy in name only) totalitarian power by the Pharma-Dems.
Newsom won’t be alone on the track in Kentucky. Oh, I’m sorry! - in the Democratic Party Primary (cough, cough).
While the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom website claims to be the “First state in the nation to end the sale of new gas cars by 2035,” they’ve now been “one-upped” by 2020 Presidential Hopeful Jay Inslee who just signed legislation - Move Ahead Washington - demanding that “all vehicles of model year 2030 or later sold, purchased or registered in Washington state be electric vehicles.” Also, where Newsom’s bill wrung $10 Billion out of 39,664,128 California tax payers, Inslee’s plan puts forth $16 Billion, to be distributed in 1/3 less time, paid for by only 7,796,941 Washington tax payers. Now, that’s a pissing contest, if I ever saw one!
Aside from signing these bills into law, I suspect the real battle being waged is far, far, far above their pay grade. We’re seeing the end result of “other, less visible actors” putting their fingers on the scale. Don’t believe such things happen? What with Washington being Bill Gates’ home state and Jeff Bezos’ Amazon Headquarters being located in Seattle — pshaw! That’s just conspiracy thinking!
Er…okay.
One last thing about the 2023-24 Democratic Primary Race. If King Jay ends up on your ballot, choose a better candidate, because there’s nothing Jay Inslee excels at better than: Force. Coercion. Pressure. And demands backed up by aggressive, punitive action. Since October 2021, roughly 2,000 Washington State Employees have quit or been fired for making a medical decision that didn’t earn Jay’s approval, and if that’s not bad enough, they were also threatened with a DENIAL OF UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS.
As Jay and Gavin march in lock-step, when it comes to “Governance Via Coercion,” and Governor Kate Brown of Oregon follows along willingly enough, all eyes will be on Oregon this coming November as every Pharma-Dem wonders how powerful the anti-pharma-fascism surge will be at the polls in November 2022 and 2024. Will Americans push back? Or will they wilt? The Pharma-Dems played their hand (with some nasty cards held in reserve, for sure) and now they’re strategizing HOW to avoid paying the piper for their unconstitutional and anti-human rights crimes, positioning and policies. Will we, as a nation, hold them accountable?
Back to Gavin!
If we want proof of Newsom’s utter inability to comprehend the needs of his state residents, we need look no further than California’s catastrophic failure around homelessness. The fundamental ability to obtain SHELTER is a perfect marker of a state’s priorities, and California was the #1 Worst State on this issue in 2019. Can you imagine how bad it’s gotten since then?
According to the 2020 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress. U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in January 2021, “California had 161,548 homeless people, which accounted for 28% of the nation’s homeless population.” Read the full report.
Gavin Newsom, meanwhile, is worth over $20 Million and when the Governor’s Mansion didn’t suit his family’s needs, they bought a $3.7 Million home in the suburbs of Fair Oaks. His wife is from money. His friends are from or made of money. His business is geared toward the monied class. Frankly, none of that sounds good when we’re looking for a President who can understand and manage our Foreign Affairs (and I don’t mean the price of grapes or import taxes on French Wine) as we make the long, painful slog through oceans of debt in search of a distant shore called “economic stability.”
This is how the game is played…isn’t it? You say? Sure. But is that a good thing? And, must the future match the past? Obviously not. So, here we are, creating the future one second, one phone call, one chit-chat, one decision and one vote at a time. And so, I’ll ask you again…is this how you want the decisions of your town, city, county, state, nation…or school board…to be made?
“The former president of the State Board of Education, [Reed] Hastings [Netflix Co-Chief Executive] is known in California politics as a proponent of education reform and has tapped into his $5 billion net worth to help elect like-minded pro-charter school candidates to state and local public office.”
As multi-millionaires and billionaires begin to pick and choose who will fill our nation’s elected positions — we sacrifice our political legacy — replacing Representational Democracy with Oligarchy and Rule by the Nobility of our age.
Begging the question again: “Do we want Gavin Newsom in the White House?” Maybe, maybe not…but a cadre of power-families DO, and (in my mind) that makes Gavin Newsom the wrong candidate for the America I want my children to live in.
Cronyism At Its Best: According to former state Assembly speaker and former mayor of San Francisco Willie Brown, “San Francisco society’s “first families” — whose names grace museum galleries, charity ball invitations and hospital wards — “settled on Newsom, 50, as their favored candidate two decades ago. He came from their world, and that’s why they embraced him without hesitancy and over and above everybody else,” continued Brown, who is a mentor to Newsom. “They didn’t need to interview him. They knew what he stood for.”
Today, all of us (as American Citizens) are facing off with the worst Debt Crisis in our history. Our National Debt climbs by at least $100,000 USD every 2.5 seconds! Here are the numbers from yesterday and today, separated by 24 hours. We should be $345,600,000 deeper in debt, but when we compare last night’s screen shot (top) to tonight’s screen shot (bottom)…well, it’s okay if you cry.
So, I’ll ask you one more time.
(1) Can the elites in positions of power claim success?
(2) As most of us tighten our belts, flip our spending habits upside down, wonder if a backyard garden or a small flock of chickens will save us and cancel family travel plans…do we really want a multi-millionaire for whom budgeting to pay for groceries is a distant memory…as our Commander and Chief?
I, for one, am ready to see Salt of the Earth Americans in our Highest Office and every other elected office, as well! But, that will only be achieved when we accept that self-governance requires us to hold ourselves responsible for how our land and lives are governed.
