Non-Thinking Liberal/Progressives "React" to Harvard's Loss of International Students.
Come on, people! I thought you were smart? Can you use your noggins for something other than "oh no, fuck them!" Please start acting like mature adults. I know you can. Right?

I get really tired of the knee-jerk reactions fostered by social media. It’s a clear “dumbing down” mechanism, because people can spew garbage and then think they’re smart because a bunch of people auto-like or cheer for them.
It’s the opposite of college, where whatever you write needs to be well explained, defended, expressed persuasively and you need citations to back up your point.
What’s frustrating is that all that is common sense, and I’m finding that the non-college educated, blue collar, hard working “good old boys” and their brethren have plenty of common sense. Meanwhile…
The “college educated” seem to have forgotten all that hard work they used to put into dissertations, research papers and exam questions. Why? Because the “echo chamber” of the liberal/progressive zealots (which the Democratic Party has worked hard to turn most of their party members into) simply can’t accept that something they “believe in” could be illogical, immoral, unconstitutional, or wrong.
They’ve become the party of 2+2 = whatever the Hell we want it to equal. Fuck math!
Below is a typical (scream at sky) reaction to the recent revocation of Harvard University’s PRIVILEGE to enroll International Students:
As expected, her comment thread is flush with similar comments, such as:
“Unreal” is a really good description of what is happening.
So fucking unreal!!!
Truly infuriating
How does Harvard U not have the legal / strategic acumen to outsmart them? Less hand wringing, more professors at chalkboards.
I’m not sure… Freaking bizarre
Yes, the lack of periods is accurate. Another effect of social media on society — the destruction of grammar and punctuation!
QUICK KOREAN SIDE NOTE:
I spent the day wandering Andong Village, being repetitively impressed and amazed by the utter beauty of the handwriting of the Korean aristocracy of the Joseon Dynasty. Which reminded me how most of our young people can’t write three proper sentences in a row and cursive has been lost almost entirely in one generation. Even printed handwriting is becoming a challenge!
Back on track!
Below is my “keeping it calm” reply to this woman and her gaggle of “reactionaries,” who seem to be afflicted by TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) which honestly, I used to think was just a silly term until, well…until our President was elected and these types of people lost their collective minds. (see above photo)
NOW, MY REPLY MAY NOT BE 100% ACCURATE, BUT IT’S LOGICAL AND THAT’S THE POINT. WE SHOULD BE USING OUR MINDS AND COMING UP WITH OUR BEST THOUGHTS POSSIBLE. NOT AUTO-REACTING!
Dear __________,
This is excellent and I'll tell you why. Harvard has been engaged with the Federal Government for a very long time. How? Harvard is asking the USA Border Control & Immigration System to specifically give limited time VISAs to foreigners based upon their "enrollment at Harvard University."
See?
If you're taking it for granted that Harvard can enroll any student they want, slow down that thought and backtrack a bit. Can any employer hire any person from around the world just because they want to? NO.
When my husband and I were exploring moving to Denmark with our boys in 2017, I spent 3 weeks in Copenhagen, talking with schools and also big telecommunication companies where my husband might be able to work. The ONLY WAY a non-Danish citizen can work for a company in Denmark is if the company can prove that the job can't be done equally well by a Danish citizen.
This is how countries protect good paying jobs for their own citizens, and the same goes for young people who want to show up and say, "Hey! Can I attend your college?"
The answer is a BIG FAT MAYBE.
So, back to Harvard. Harvard is a SEMI-private university. It also gets TONS of funding from the government. Either way, they're basically free to enroll who they want -- from America. But, if you want to enroll NON-AMERICAN CITIZENS, well gosh golly -- those students (from other countries) need what?
A Student Visa.
And those aren’t issued by mere universities. They reflect OUR federal government's permission to enter the country at all, to live here, to study, and potentially to get a part time job while they're here (or not). ALL OF THAT IS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BUSINESS, BECAUSE IT’S OUR COUNTRY.
And yes, if you're going to accept tons of money from middle eastern countries, allow student groups to form that openly flaunt their GOAL TO DESTROY EMPIRE (their nickname for the USA), openly organize antisemitism, promote and conduct and encourage violence against other students merely for their Jewish heritage (even if they are NOT Israeli or engaged in political activism of any sort), and when all of this is happening — you, as a university, do basically nothing to stop it?
Well, you just might have proven to the US Federal Government that you are actively bringing unacceptably behaving foreigners into our nation who hold actively hostile views of our nation and who participate in public and private actions designed to undermine American security.
And in this case, my friend — you don't have the right to ENJOY THE PRIVILEGE of overall government trust and approval of your capability and commitment to protecting our nation by properly vetting your international students…
Many of whom are coming from nations that offer a clear and present danger to our security and who might (just might!) be using "students" to promote chaos and cause harm to their enemies (America and Jews) within our borders.
