Even Turbo Tax understands this!

Yup, I’m paying my taxes. Usually I do this in mid-February, but February and March were cray-cray! So, here I am. And, upon logging into Turbo Tax, lo and behold, there’s a form that comes up that we’re being asked to sign. But, in the early fine print (because, oh yes - I read fine print)…

Look what Turbo Tax’s Lawyers made them do?

Quote: “You are not required to complete this form to engage our tax return preparation services. If we obtain your signature on this form by conditioning our tax return preparation services on your consent, your consent will not be valid.”

What they’re talking about is the fact that “consent” can only be given IF AND WHEN there is zero coercion present.

Once you apply the smallest amount of pressure (such as, we won’t help you file taxes unless you sign this — or, we’re going to fire you unless you get this injection) — you are incapable of giving consent.

The same is true of sex.

It’s why there are laws on the books stating that a woman, under the influence of alcohol, cannot legally give consent to having sex. She’s considered to be “under the influence” of something that could possibly effect the quality of her consent.

In 2021, Governor Jay Inslee eliminated Informed Consent for WA State.

Once the Governor applied ANY PRESSURE whatsoever to Washingtonians making a medical decision (do I get this injection or don’t I?) — Informed Consent went out the window. Invalid. Legally impossible. For everyone. Even if you desperately wanted to get the injections and were 100% on board with the idea, you were incapable of giving Informed Consent due to the presence of pressure in the state of WA.

And, everyone knows it. Including Turbo Tax’s lawyers.
