Our Thoughts Matter Stats!
As a content "creator," I've been slow on the "stats & analytics" uptake, which is why I am only just now discovering a few interesting stats about my own Substack!

For folks who don’t have their own Substack, I’d like to share the range of interesting stats made available to content creators. Yes, you can laugh at me, that after two and a half years, I’m only just now discovering of these for myself!
Did you know…?
Our Thoughts Matter is read across 44 US states and 22 countries!
Also…
Our Thoughts Matter has 181 published articles!
Our Thoughts Matter has 396 subscribers (averaging 2-3 new subscribers/week)
Substack tracks subscriber activity level (helping me connect with readers)
Substack tracks “from whence” a reader has come (as in, how they found me)
Substack tracks the “open rate” of my posts (I average around 33%)
Substack offers a “survey template” (yes, a survey cometh!)
Substack even generates QR codes to help creators share their content!
And, when a person becomes a paid subscriber, they’re invited to share a note! These are super helpful, as they give me an idea of what my readers value most, and who doesn’t appreciate a sincere and descriptive compliment?
"Your articles are thoughtful, well-researched, varied, and continue to enlighten, educate, and surprise me."
~ J. V."I greatly appreciate your writing--I live in WA State myself and frequently am frustrated with the politics here, not to mention those on the national level! Your essay on Facebook is spot on, I think I should quit it also."
~ Jane G.
I hope these highlights give you a sense of the many ways in which Substack helps content creators make the most of this platform!
Oh, and I should add (for the technologically challenged everywhere) — Substack has a plethora of user instructions, written in easy to understand language!
I’m sure many of my fellow “substackers” are also super appreciative of this, because it makes this excellent platform more accessible to writers who have only just recently evolved beyond the perfectly wonderful and elegantly tactile “wooden pencil and paper notebook” era of human literary achievement.
